For the public
If a fire, flood or hurricane has affected you or your family in North Carolina, the app helps you find the next step.
Without an account
- Look up recovery resources: housing and shelter, relocating, free legal help, jobs and income, replacing documents, relief organizations, fire reports, insurance, and board-up and cleanup companies.
- Open your county page for emergency management, social services (DSS), the health department and the Register of Deeds.
- Find fire departments, school districts, hotels and motels, and cultural and religious food pantries and stores.
- Read how to care for your home after a fire or flood, and how to get a phone number.
- Turn on opt-in alerts for North Carolina or your county.
With a free account
- Save case numbers by agency (Red Cross, FEMA, insurance claim, SBA, NC Emergency Management and others), with contacts and next-step dates.
- Keep private notes and track referrals: who referred you, to whom, the status and the follow-up date.
- Save a share card from a responder by scanning a QR code or typing a short code. Nothing is saved until you agree.
- Download all your data, or delete your account at any time.
Choose Person affected by a disaster when you sign up. Your account is ready right away.
Always confirm with the agency. Information changes. The app is a research and referral tool, not a government service. In an emergency, call 911.
