Alerts
Get a notification on your phone or computer when there is important disaster recovery news for North Carolina or your county. Alerts are off until you turn them on.
How it works
- Everyone who turns on alerts gets statewide alerts for North Carolina. You can also add up to 10 counties to get alerts for those counties.
- Alerts come in the language you are using (English or Spanish) when a Spanish version is sent; otherwise in English.
- They work in a web browser, in the Android app, and on iPhone and iPad (iOS 16.4 or later) after you add the app to your Home Screen.
- We store only the push address for your device, your topics and your language. Not your name, email or location, and alerts are not linked to your account.
- Turning alerts off deletes the push address.
This is not an emergency alert system. For warnings about weather and danger, keep the Wireless Emergency Alerts on your phone turned on and follow your county emergency management. Call 911 in an emergency.
